E-Content has been subcontracted to work with FHWA’s OIPD to design, develop, and pilot new FHWA EDC-4 training courses for the local and tribal transportation community, in support of the Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP)/Tribal Technical Assistance Program (TTAP).
The pressures on all transportation agencies, particularly the local agencies, to maintain, operate or even expand their networks due to population increases, decline of existing systems and economic demands are only increasing. The OIPD’s vision is to work cooperatively to provide these agencies with technical assistance, training, and the most current innovations and information to help them effectively deal with issues. In support of this vision, the E-Content team has identified innovative solutions to deliver accessible training to the local and tribal community located in areas facing geographic challenges. Our team is developing training in the core subject areas that can be customized by the local and tribal community, as well as providing services in support of that training.
Using Articulate Presenter, the E-Content Consulting production team is programming technical distance learning products that are engaging, compliant with Section 508 revised standards, SCORM-compliant, and tested in multiple browsers, including mobile browsers, and on devices of varying sizes.
The team designed, built, and programmed creative and engaging interactions, instructionally valid knowledge checks, and real-world instructional videos that demonstrate concepts in context. Each training also includes an end-of-course assessment that fully measures mastery of each overall course outcome.
